FAQ’s
What is the status of the Upper Pool?
The Upper Pool is currently closed due to an issue that was uncovered with the filtration system just prior to opening. The water is chemically safe and therefore the pool was open for one week, however cloudiness became a visibility safety concern. We have been reaching out to local businesses to provide estimates and timeframes for repair. We are finalizing details with a contractor and are now awaiting final confirmation that parts are available. As soon as a timeline is determined, we will be sure to keep you updated. We cannot thank you enough for your continued patience during these times. When the Upper Pool re-opens it will be open swim for adults (ages 18 and up) in the shallow end and open to all for diving in the deep end. Anyone with a Pool or Table reservation will be able to enjoy these spaces. Members in this pool space will still need to maintain social distancing from other families.
I have a member of my household who is not listed on my membership, can they be permitted as a guest? What about other guests?
Currently we do not accept any guests, members only. If you need to adjust your membership to add a member of your household, please contact [email protected] for assistance. Regarding all guests, we will continue to monitor the option for members to bring guests and will be sure to communicate any updates.
I am interested in assisting to shape the future of Three Chopt, how can I help?
We currently have vacancies on our Board of Directors and are looking for members who are passionate about helping us to continue to make Three Chopt great! Contact [email protected] for more details.

We know this is a very difficult situation for many, and it has also been challenging for us to navigate as a community organization. We have been a part of this community for many decades, and we hope to serve our community for many decades to come. We are not an organization who received any type of financial assistance during this pandemic and our fixed costs remain exactly the same this year. If it is within your means to pay your dues in full this year we would be so grateful as that kindness will allow us to cover our expenses and allow us to continue to operate this summer and in years to come.
If this isn’t possible, we totally understand. For those families, you have the option to pay $125 ($50 hiatus fee + $75 capital improvement fee) to hold your membership. Please go onto the portal and enroll in the hiatus membership by July 31st. After that date, there is a $50 increase.
We love our members and don’t want our membership to leave us during these times. If your family is experiencing financial hardship, please let us know. We will help you out any way we can.
