2021 Lifeguard Certification Course

August 12 and 13: 12-8pm and August 14: 8-12pm
*Classes may end early or go a little longer each day
Class limited to 10 participants.

Certification includes CPR, AED, and is good for 2 years

To participate, students must be 15 years old and must demonstrate the following skills:
  • Swim 300 yards continuously: 100 crawl stroke, 100 breaststroke, 100 choice stroke on stomach
  • Tread water for two minutes using only the legs
  • Complete the following timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds: Starting in the water, swim 20 yards, surface dive, feet first or head first, to a depth of 7 to 10 ft. to retrieve a 10-lb object, return to the surface, and swim 20 yards on the back to the starting point, with both hands holding the object, and exiting the water without using a ladder or steps.
